Icy is our little busy worker bee... she loves to work, and she is a super fast learner!  Her super snappy responses and flashy heads-up heeling make her a blast to train in both obedience and rally.  I have also taken her to a few foundation agility classes, and she has proven to be a natural in that sport as well.  (Unfortunately my schedule doesn't allow for much agility time, but I have no doubt that she has the ability to be great at it!)  I call her a little mountain goat, because she prefers to be "up" on something whenever possible... maybe because she's a little shrimp at just a hair over 17" high!  Icy might be on the small side, but don't let that fool you... she is a force to be reckoned with.  She is smart as a whip, and is absolutely adorable, so it's impossible to ever be mad at her!

In the field, Icy is proving to have her mom's excellent marking ability, and I love that her return with the bird/bumper is just as fast... if not faster... than her go-out!  She pours her little heart into everything that she does, and fieldwork is no exception.  Icy is a typical retriever who likes to carry things around in her mouth, and she enjoys bringing me everything from the empty dog food dishes to my cell phone. 

Icy is a NSDTRC(USA) Champion, which means she has both her AKC Championship title and a NSDTRC(USA) approved field title.  She has also earned her Rusty Jones Award for versatility through the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club (USA)... to be eligible, a dog must have earned their AKC Championship, AKC Companion Dog title, and a NSDTRC(USA) Working Certificate title.
